I qualified as a Children’s Nurse in 2011 and have since enjoyed a wide range of clinical experience in hospitals across London, Wales, and Birmingham. I spent 12 years at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, working in the Paediatric Assessment Unit, the Clinical Research Facility, and later on a specialist medical ward caring for children with gastroenterology, neurology, and inherited metabolic conditions.
Alongside my clinical work, I took on the role of Student Link Worker and Practice Assessor, supporting learners during their placements. This is where I discovered how much I enjoy helping students grow in confidence and develop their skills.
I’m now really excited to be moving into higher education, where I look forward to supporting the next generation of nurses and helping them thrive in their training and future careers.
